FAQ: All about SuBundle
Q: Are SuBundle puzzles more difficult than Sudoku puzzles?
A: It potentially could, but usually not. It all depends upon the puzzle.
"Finding possible answers for the keys" is the the first step to solve a SuBundle puzzle.
If only common solving methods are needed to find possible answers for the keys. SuBundle puzzles are just like ordinary Sudoku games. Players can pick a preferred level to play, or just do them all.
On another hand, the first step maybe designed very difficult, then a SuBundle puzzle is potentially far harder than the Sudoku puzzles, since the "uniqueness" is not valid for the first step. Here is a real tough Example, there are 5 extreme solutions in this grid.

Q: How SuBundle is better than regular Sudoku puzzle?
A:
    Just some examples:
  • It save paper and inks.
  • Player can pick his/her own game to play.
  • Publishers do not need to print multiple grids to accommodate different levels of readers.
  • It got multiple outcomes, it become more "game" than just "sport".
  • With proper scoring design, (will be published later) it also bring in "factor of luck" into the game.
  • It will be more fun to compete, waging,
  • Handicap system may be established.

Q: How your games are rated?
A: There are multiple solutions for each grid, our ratings are imposed upon the solutions instead of grids.
Ratings are based on "score of solving", which depends on the usage of different solving techniques. Pre-assigned points are added to the score each time a technique is used to reach a answer for a cell. Simpler techniques worths less points.
An "1:Gentle/Easy" rated game usually can be reached by using "single-cell" and "single-number" techniques. A 2-rated may need "naked-pair" or alike to solve. This scenario may not be true, if number of blanks is unusually small.
Our ratings maybe different from other sudoku-makers ratings, especially when the rating gets beyond medium. Ratings there are based more on personal taste than mathematics.

Q: A easy approach for solving sudoku or subundle grids?
A:
Take a walk approach: ( We must already know that at least one solution exist)
It might have been called many different names, as a technique or whatever.
But, it is more a approach, which maybe applied almost any stage/level of sudoku solving or playing. here, there are 3 aspects for this approach.
  1. Physically, stand up, and go for a little walk.
It is good for the body as well as for the mind or brain.
  2. Mentally, get your mind off the grid, do something else, then come back.
Maybe, somehow your mind just got lock in a dead end cornner?
  3. On the grid, Mark up the possible options for all blank cells, and take a walk.
Pick a cell with 2 possible answers, try one of them, walk maybe 5 to 10 steps (answers for cells),
see what answers it bring into the grid. There are three possible outcomes from this walk:
    • Oops, it caused a conflict. Good, the trial answer is bad, another answer got to be good.
    • The answers still going OK, after answers for 5-10 cells. That is not a guarranty the answer we pick is good.
But, let us take a walk on another route. This time we may walk further if needed.
We will come across the previous route very soon and quite often.
If the answers of both route for the junction are the same, we had that cell solved.
Otherwise, keep on walking, until it finds a conflict or feeling tired.
It could also lead to the very end, which means the grids is completely solved.
    • So, nothing really happened yet, no conflict, no confirmation, and fell tire of this starting cell already.
Well, pick, another statring cell, do it over. Wish for a better luck.
    • personal taste than mathematics.
